with Jeff Lowenfels
In this don’t miss-talk by the “Al Gore of Gardening,” author Jeff Lowenfels promises an entertaining hour in which he will reveal the basics of chemical-free gardening. The new gardening movement sweeping the country relies on understanding how soil microbes work, and how to make best use of microbial activity in your garden. In a lecture appropriate for home gardeners, experienced organic gardeners, landscapers, as well as kicking and dragged spouses, Jeff will explain the astonishing science of why chemicals and gardening don’t mix, and detail easy, practical, and natural practices that actually save time and work. No one leaves this lecture the same as when they go in.
Jeff Lowenfels is the author of Timber Press’s best seller, Teaming with Microbes: A Gardener’s Guide to the Soil Food Web. Today, Jeff has a popular radio show, “The Garden Party,” where he has become known as “The Germinator.”
